Joe D’Amato (eigentlich Aristide Massaccesi; * 15. Dezember 1936 in Rom; † 23. Januar 1999 ebenda) war ein italienischer Filmregisseur und -produzent, Kameramann und Drehbuchautor. Er drehte an die 170 Hardcore- und Softerotikfilme und etwa 30 Action-, Fantasy-, Kriegs-, Western-, Piraten-, Horror- und Splatterfilme und gilt somit als wesentlicher Vertreter des europäischen Exploitation-Films.
